Biblical counseling isn't about quick fixes. It's a process of spiritual growth as we seek to understand how God is working in your life and how His Word speaks to the challenges you are facing.
As we meet, we prayerfully consider how God’s Word speaks to your circumstances and how He may be inviting you to grow in faith, hope, and love.
Lasting change happens progressively as God works through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and faithful steps of obedience.
Biblical counseling may be helpful if you are experiencing:
You are not open to exploring how faith relates to your situation
Biblical counseling involves looking at life’s challenges through the lens of God’s Word and applying His truth personally.
You are looking primarily for practical productivity or goal-setting support
Life coaching may be a better fit if your main focus is decision-making, structure, goals, or moving forward in a specific area of life.
You prefer counseling that is not centered on the Bible
Biblical counseling is grounded in Scripture as the final authority for understanding people, problems, and lasting change.
You are seeking diagnosis, medical treatment, or clinical therapy
Biblical counseling is not a substitute for licensed mental health care or medical treatment when needed.
Each session builds upon the previous as we continue pursuing growth in Christ through the grace of God and the work of the Holy Spirit.
You desire guidance rooted in Scripture
You want to understand how God’s Word speaks into the challenges you are facing and how biblical truth applies to everyday life.
You are experiencing spiritual, emotional, or relational struggles
You may be facing anxiety, grief, discouragement, relationship difficulties, or other burdens and want Christ-centered support.
You want to grow in your relationship with the Lord in the midst of difficulty
You are seeking not only relief from your circumstances, but also spiritual growth, wisdom, and heart-level change through God’s truth.
You are open to examining your thoughts, beliefs, and responses in light of Scripture
Biblical counseling invites honest reflection and a willingness to align our thinking and choices with God’s Word.
Sessions are 50 minutes and typically occur weekly.
During our time together, we:
• talk honestly about what you are facing
• consider how God’s Word applies to your situation
• pray together
• seek biblical wisdom for your next steps
• encourage spiritual growth
Lindsay Walker is a certified biblical counselor, educator, and founder of Faith Led Ministries. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and has received formal biblical counseling training, equipping her to help individuals apply God's Word with biblical wisdom and compassionate care.
Biblical counseling is meaningful to me not only because of the training I have received, but because of how personally I have experienced its care.
During one of the most difficult seasons of my life—the physical loss of my husband—I needed more than surface-level encouragement. I needed hope that reached deeper than my circumstances. Through biblical counseling, I experienced the comfort of having someone patiently walk alongside me, opening Scripture and reminding me of the steady hope we have in Christ even in the midst of deep grief.
That season forever shaped how I understand counseling. I have seen how God's Word meets us in real pain and helps us continue trusting Him, even when life feels uncertain. While biblical counseling does not remove every hardship, it continually points us back to the wisdom, comfort, and hope we have in Christ. It is now a privilege to walk alongside others with that same compassionate, Christ-centered care as they seek to grow in faith and faithfully navigate life's challenges.
It is completely normal to have questions before beginning counseling. Choosing to share about personal struggles takes courage, and it is important to feel comfortable with the process.
